MGR-PRODUCT MKTG COMMUNICATION

Description:
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager Healthcare's primary responsibility is to act as the owner of a Vertical Market Line of Business and/or service offerings. This position is accountable for the sales growth, targeted profitability and increased win ratio on sales efforts. This includes the research and evaluation of the size & requirements of the Healthcare market segments and to develop a roadmap of tailored services offerings and technology support coverage capabilities to create commercial solutions and pricing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will require deep analysis of market segmentation, predicted demand as well as IT equipment and service requirements through direct interaction with end user customers; industry OEM's/VAR's, channel partners or service providers; engineering & architecture; sales, marketing, business development or service delivery functions within these organizations; industry analysts and alliance partners. This information and analysis will be used to develop business cases plans and to drive roadmaps for decisions on commercial service offerings that position DecisionOne to win in the marketplace.
It is expected that the Product Marketing Manager will be the source of field-ready roadmaps, service specifications, customer-facing product/service literature, and act as the product marketing subject matter expert in support of sales training or customer proposals.
This role will act in the capacity to create service offerings and develop business partnerships with major Healthcare OEM's or service providers for technology support from both a commercial and supplier stand point. Other specific role requirements are:
? Understand the Healthcare market segments (Payers, Providers, Manufacturers, Service Providers, etc.) and the relationships of information, technology and healthcare business cycles.
? Research and develop a deep understanding of customer specific usage of technology in the various market segments and how IT issues impact business processes, IT service requirements and user issues; with leverage from third-party information and/or forecasts data (e.g. Gartner)
? Develop and maintain a clear understanding of Healthcare EMR and EHR providers, services and the impact to end user customers and their work environments
? Understand customers buying process, price points and consumption models.
? Compare market research data and customer requirements to competition's service or commercial capabilities, monitor competitive approaches and products/services offerings
? Understand partner technology roadmaps and map emerging relevant technologies into healthcare space, customer use and business opportunities.
? Work directly with Customers, OEM's/VAR's, Service providers or Suppliers to create business partnerships and/or contractual relationship for commercial and /or supplier service capabilities.
? Use all of the above to define potential product/service concepts.
? Produce in-depth Marketing Product Requirement Documents (PRD's).
? Work with DecisionOne IT and Ops on future proof of concept ideas.
? Manage planning process to guide Executive Management team on product roadmap decisions.
? Drive an understanding of how to define a clear value proposition and differentiate DecisionOne service capabilities to meet customer needs, provide superior value, and ensure DecisionOne remains innovative and customer focused
? Create and deliver commercial plans, business partnership presentations and sales proposals to third party organizations
? Establish service offering price models, strategies and price points
? Create product P&L's with expected volumes, margins and overall platform profitability. Monitor on an on-going basis.
? Manage DecsionOne's commercial service offerings throughout the product lifecycle.
? The ability to flex and effectively cover for other functions on the marketing team (planning, outbound, supply/demand) as needed is considered a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
? 10+ years experience in the Healthcare marketplace managing enterprise products or services
? 6+ years experience working directly with Customers, OEM's or Suppliers to create business partnerships for commercial and/or service supplier capabilities
? 5+ years in a sales, business development, marketing or product planning role
? Solid understanding of corporate customers and the way they procure and consume IT services
? Ability to engage cross functional resources, regardless of geographic location, in order to achieve goal/ meet customer needs
? Business Sales Acumen (understanding of the sales cycle)
? Requires advanced verbal and written communication skills for commercial documents, product positioning or service definitions, business plans and third party written and oral presentations
? Strategic analysis, business modeling and data analytics
? Advanced desktop publishing skills (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
? Technical understanding of IT equipment and IT applications in the healthcare market segments and their economics
? Proven track record in managing multiple requests from sales
? Attention to detail, balanced with high level situational awareness and ability to drive process overview/improvements
? Manage time and prioritize effectively; demonstrate an ability to cope with a complex and changing environment
? Travel to meet with channel partners, OEM's, suppliers or customers is expected up to 30% of the time
? Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred
